TAILS ON TRAILS
Do you need a responsible and friendly Dog Walker? I am an experienced dog walker covering all of Cumbernauld. Your dog will feel right at home with me. Get in touch if you are looking for someone to walk and exercise your dog when your commitments prevent you from doing so.
Tails on Trails is the solution you are looking for as we are focused on keeping your dog happy through exercise, stimulation and socialisation.
SERVICES
We offer 60 minute group walks (4-8 friendly dogs) in various parks and woodland areas in and around Cumbernauld so that your dog has plenty of room to exercise and have fun exploring and socialising with other dogs away from the roads and built up areas. This service is £12 per 60 minute walk or £55 for the week Monday - Friday. I do three group walks each day, the morning walk at 9.30am, late morning walk at 11.30am and early afternoon walk at 1.30pm.
*** I use a Tractive GPS Tracker on all my new dogs when they first get off lead ***
EXERCISE
Lets Have Some Fun
By having your dog walked regularly, you are helping keep your dog healthy, happy and out of trouble. The many benefits of exercise include:
Helps to reduce or eliminate the common behaviour problems, such as digging, excessive barking, chewing and hyperactivity.
Helps to keep dogs healthy, agile and limber.
Helps to reduce digestive problems and constipation.
Helps dogs feel sleepy, rather than restless, at bedtime or when you’re relaxing.
Helps to keep dogs’ weight under control.
Dogs can have mental health issues too. Exercised dogs are less stressed and less likely to suffer depression and generally a lot happier than dogs who are walked less often.
SOCIALISATION
Interacting With Friends
By having your dog walked regularly by Tails on Trails in our group walks you will notice a difference in your dog’s happiness and behaviour. Dogs are naturally pack animals and generally love to socialise with other dogs. Nothing makes them happier than playing and running together or chasing one another. Benefits of pack walking include:
Helps timid or fearful dogs build confidence and trust.
Socialised dogs behave better when walked on the lead around other dogs and children.
Socialised dogs can be trusted to behave and have fun with other dogs when allowed off the lead.
Socialised dogs tend to be more relaxed when they meet new dogs or faced with new situations.
Socialised dogs are less likely to suffer separation anxiety and have dominancy issues.
STIMULATION
Discovering New Things
A dog needs continual mental stimulation otherwise he will become bored or lethargic. Dogs need daily exercise and stimulating activities, if they don’t get the mental stimulation that they require then they are likely to develop behavioural problems such as chewing, biting and doing the toilet in your home due to boredom. Unstimulated dogs can become stressed easily and develop depression, leading to a weakened immune system and become more prone to disease.
The best way to combat these negative effects is through exercise, social interactions and daily challenges (vetinfo.com). Tails on Trails can help if your dog is suffering from any of these issues by walking your dog regularly for you, socialising your dog with other dogs and taking your dogs to new locations every day of the week so that there is always somewhere different to explore and break up the monotony of visiting the same place every day.
